LEANDRO LJ MARQUEZ

Leandro (LJ) Marquez was born on May 6, 1947, in Selma, CA to Paul & Mary Marquez. He was the oldest of 2 sons. He was employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator for CalTrans.  Outside of work, he enjoyed the company of his family and friends. He was known to be a charmer and quite a storyteller. He could make you laugh for hours on end. LJ enjoyed camping, fishing, gambling, baseball games, and supporting his family in various sports and activities. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Henry, and daughter Louise Ann. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Alice (Mora) Marquez; 3 daughters Nanette Martinez (husband Marty), Betty Trujillo (husband Jerry), and Melissa Flores; 7 Grandchildren Ashlee Marquez, Edward, Samantha, Michael & Tommie Rose Trujillo, Anthony & Celeste Flores, and Jacob De Ochoa; 2 Great Grandchildren Levi Ramirez and Alaia De Ochoa; and 1 sister Linda (husband Ruben) Henthorne. He also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He will be missed by all who know him.

A Chapel Service will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 10:00 am at Peers-Lorentzen Funeral Chapel. Services will conclude at the Funeral Chapel.
