WAYNE PENDOLA JR.

Wayne Pendola Jr., 87, of Tulare, California entered into eternal life on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.  He was born on January 25, 1937 in Tulare, California.

He was hard-working and dedicated.  He spent 40 years working for Rawson Drug and McKesson delivering goods to grocery stores in the Lindsay and Porterville area.

His hobby was building “hot rods” and restoring antique cars.  He spent many hours at his shop working on building cars for others.  He was well known in the car world and met many friends through this.  He never had to look for work as everyone knew who Wayne was and where his shop was located. He bought his 1932 roadster when he was 17 years old and rebuilt it a few times.  He was very proud of that car.

He was a member of the Valley Roadsters, The Horseless Carriage Club, and the L.A. Roadster Club for many years. Through those clubs he went on many roadster runs, even driving as far as Canada.  He felt that his car was made to be driven and not transported to the shows.

He was also a Band Booster when Sandy was in Jr. High and High School, driving the truck that held the uniforms and instruments and unloading them at all of the various locations the bands played.

He was known for his positive attitude and his giving nature.  He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it.  He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Pendola, and his daughter Sandy Roberts (Don), stepchildren Laurie Malcolm (Wayne) and Lisa Benton (Gary).  His brother Arthur Pendola. His grandchildren are Nickolas Roberts, Jaimee Roberts, Brittany Malcolm, Brandt Malcolm, Blake Colson (Brooke), and Chase Colson (Amy).  Great grandchildren Decker, August, Blake, Amelia, and Noah.

He was preceded in death by his mother Nora Strong, father Wayne Pendola Sr., and his sisters Joyce Montgomery and Beverly Jans.

A celebration of Life will be held at Tulare Church Of Christ, 500 No. Blackstone St. in Tulare, Ca at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 28, 2024.  All are invited to a reception immediately following in the Fellowship Hall. Inurnment will be held at a later date. If you are a car enthusiast and would like to drive your car to the church we would gladly welcome you.
