STACY McREYNOLDS
Our beloved Stacy Gay (Slagle) McReynolds, aged 65, of Visalia, California, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Kaweah Delta Medical Center. Born in Hereford, Texas on July 29, 1959, she was the daughter of Stanley Ryle Slagle and Novella Ruth (Arrington) Brown. Stacy was the middle child of three siblings and shared her early years with older sister, Monica Ruth and younger sister, Stana Lee.
Stacy resided in Texas, New Mexico, Alaska, Oklahoma and moved to Visalia in 1987. While in junior high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Stacy ran track and field and could run like the wind. In Visalia she worked as a manicurist for years where she made and kept lifelong friends. She was creative, expressive, fashionable and flamboyant!! She loved all music and adored playing the guitar and harmonica for herself and others. Her favorite, was to sit with the children and grandchildren while strumming out a tune she created, just for them, in a matter of minutes. Stacy dearly loved any animals, especially dogs. While evangelizing the homeless, over the past year, she would take dog and cat food along with her to make sure they were fed as well. Stacy’s biggest love was people. She loved helping others and was a counselor/sponsor of many over the years in AA and NA. She always said, “Everyone matters!!” Her friends and family remember her most as always being so much fun. When she walked through the door, the party started, and she would fill the room with her joyful personality, beautiful smile and silly giggles and laughter!! She was vibrant, confident and strong-willed. Stacy was, most importantly, a Christian who knew the Lord and was baptized on Easter Sunday in 2024. She loved to take others along with her to church to share the gospel. Stacy will be greatly missed by so many friends and family, but we know in our hearts that she is safe in the arms of Jesus and resting in sweet peace.
Stacy was preceded in death by her father. She leaves behind Mother; Novella Brown of Visalia, daughter Novella Camille (Cami) Brumley of Visalia; Granddaughters River Grace Brumley and Rainey Gayle Brumley, sister and brother-in-law; Dwayne and Monica Story of Visalia; sister and brother-in-law Trey and Stana Baker of Guthrie, Oklahoma; stepsister Karen Flammang of Visalia; Niece; Robin Smith of Visalia, and Nephew; Randy Ingle of Prosper, Texas.
