WILMA McGUIRE

Long time resident of Tulare, CA, Wilma McGuire, at the age of 100, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025. She was born in Iowa on March 16, 1925.

Wilma graduated from high school in Kankakee, Illinois in 1941. She met Kenneth McGuire while attending Open Bible Institute in Illinois, and they were married in July 1946. A daughter was born to them in August 1947 and was named Eunice Ann. She was their only child. 

In 1951, they moved to “sunny” California. After living in So. California for a few years, they moved to Tulare in the summer of 1960, where both Ken and Wilma became schoolteachers and where they lived until their passing. 

Wilma had a good, full life. She made many friends through the years. They remember her gentle and caring nature, her sense of humor, her intense interest in a vast array of subjects, and especially in her deep faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her love of the Bible. She gave her heart to the Lord as a teenager. 

Wilma passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of December 18, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, her brother William and her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Eunice and five nieces and one nephew.

Graveside service will take place at 10 am on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Tulare District Cemetery, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11am at Tulare Community Church.
