BELIA A BORGES

Passed away on January 15, 2026, at the age of 88.  She was born on February 17, 1937 In Agulava Terceira, Azores. To Antonio A Sinheiro and Maria L Salles. She was a beautician while living in the Azores Where she met and married Firmo M Borges Sr. June of 1955 and together they had 4 children.  They moved to the United States in 1966 and settled in California. And she became a homemaker.   

Belia is preceded in death by her husband Firmo M Borges Sr. Her parents Antonio A Sinheiro and Maria L. Salles, Her Two Sister Virgina Borges of Tulare and Judy Fagundes of Tulare. Two grandsons Eric J Borges of Tulare and Aiden Azevedo of Tulare.   

She leaves behind her four children, Firmo L. Borges (Kathy) of Tulare Anabela (Julie) (Darren) Stone of Tulare, Tony F. Borges and Belinha (George)Borges- Azevedo of Tulare Her granddaughters Andrea (Jon) Azevedo of Tulare and Alyssa Borges of Tulare.  and great grandchildren. Josh and Katilyn Azevedo. Numerous nieces and nephews, and godchildren.  and her fur babies that will miss her dearly.  Our beloved Mother will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.  She had such a sweet soul; she fought the fight in her right mind until the end, but her poor body could no longer take anymore.  Even though we will miss her daily calls her Love and hugs, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering.   I would like to thank her doctors for whom till the end were such advocates in helping her with her decisions and carrying out her wishes.  Dr. Chawki Gerges M.D., Dr. Ankur V Gupta M.D., and Dr. Tom Yang M.D.  We cannot Thank them enough for all the years of the wonderful care and treating our beloved mother.   We are truly Grateful.   

Recitations of the Rosary will be held at: Peers-Lorentzen Funeral Home in Tulare, Tuesday, February 3, 2026 @ 6:00 P.M.  

Mass will be held at: St. Aloysius Church, Tulare, Wednesda,y February 4, 2026 @ 10:30 am
