CAROLINE “KITTY” WEST

Caroline “Kitty” West, 91 of Tulare, California, earned her heavenly wings on March 25, 2024. She was born to Gus Carinelli and Jacqueline Kennedy on January 12, 1932, in Madera, California.
She attended schools in Tulare and married the love of her life, Navyman Robert Wayne West on August 9, 1952. They were blessed with two children, Jo Anne Holland, born in Port Hueneme, California and Andy Jay West, born in Tulare.
Kitty worked as a bookkeeper for many years in the agriculture industry and made many friends along the way. Not only was she quite the bookkeeper, she was also handy around the company yard and could drive a forklift to load and unload as well as most if not better! The family always enjoyed boating and skiing on Lake Kaweah. The family houseboat was a place where all were welcome to float around or go for a speedy boat ride. Kitty was a special mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother as well as a great friend who always enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She attended many swim meets, football games, volleyball matches, and soccer games for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Later in life, she became known as the “BINGO QUEEN” among her many friends at the casino in Lemoore and earned a seat at the head table!
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in heaven by her husband Robert “Bob” West and her son-in-law Robert “Bob” Holland. She is survived by daughter Jo Ann Holland of Montana, grandchildren Kari Holland-Barnhart (Mike), and Brian Holland (Kari), great-grandchildren Morgan Anne Hernandez, Brennen Wayne Holland, and Jordan Holland all of Montana as well as son Andy West (Pam) that live in Tulare.
