JEWELL FAYE RIDDLE
Jewell Faye Riddle, age 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness. Jewell walked through life with a gentle strength, touching the lives of everyone she encountered with unforgettable grace.
Born in Adare, Oklahoma to Hack Ramsey and Berta (Ramsey) Jones, Jewell was the eldest of three children. She was a headstrong child with a caring nature and curious spirit. As an adult, Jewell cared for the elderly as a CNA at Dinuba Convalescent Center for over 10 years. While working full time she returned to school and obtained her LVN license. Jewell spent another 30 plus years dedicating her caring nature and loving spirit to every patient under her care at Sierra Kings Hospital in Reedley, CA.
In addition to being a dedicated nurse, Jewell was the literal heartbeat of her family and friends. She is survived by her four children: Linden Curry of Roy Utah, Larry Welch (Vickie Welch) of Pixley CA, Karen Skeen of Williston North Dakota, and Lisa Williams (Don Williams) of Waldron, Arkansas as well her nieces Sharon Welch of Booneville, Arkansas, Shelly Hunt (Steve Hunt) of Booneville, Arkansas, Debroah Welch of Arkansas, Randy Welch of Mansfield, Arkansas; in addition to 27 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Jewell enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her large family. She hosted countless Thanksgiving dinners, Christmas holidays, Easter celebrations, 4th of July BBQs, family reunions, and weekend afternoon get-togethers. Everyone was always welcome at her table, and her family always held a special place in her heart.
After her retirement, Jewell enjoyed playing Bingo, often accompanied by her granddaughters Shannon Lanser & Shawna Quillin or her neighborhood friends. She also enjoyed a competitive game of rummy and an occasional trip to the casino. Jewell loved traveling to Arkansas to visit her extended family as well.
Jewell is preceded in death by her son, Edward “Eddie” Welch; her husband, Morgan Riddle; her sister, Gladys Simpson; and her brother, Edward Ramsey.
For those who wish to say their farewells a viewing will be held at Peers Lorentzen on Friday, November 8th from 4-7 pm. Graveside service will take place Saturday, November 9th at 9:00 am, at Smith Mountain Cemetery in Dinuba, with a reception to follow at the Royal Palms Clubhouse in Tulare.
Pallbearers will be Tabby () Jeff Curry, Connor Quillin, Gavin McCleese, Don Williams, Linden Curry, and Donald Williams JR. with Honorary pallbearers Gene Curry, Shawna Quillin, Clyde Quillin, Cody Curry.

RICKEY MEL MURCH
July 1, 1948 – October 19, 2024
Rickey Mel Murch, of Tulare California, passed away at the age of 76 on October 19, 2024.
Rickey was born July 1, 1948, in Tulare California to John and Goldie Murch. He went to school in Tulare, attending Palo Verde Union Elementary and Tulare Western High School. Rickey met Linda Wilbanks, and they quickly became sweethearts; they were married in 1966 and settled in Tulare. Rickey later began his 30-plus-year career working as a construction welder for Butler Manufacturing.
He is survived by his wife of 58-years, Linda Wilbanks Murch, and two sons Rickey Murch Jr and Steven Murch (Melody), eight grandchildren (Matthew, Kyle, Brittany, Daniel, Niki, Krystal, Joey, and Ethan), nine great-grandchildren, three siblings (Virgil, Kathryn, David), many in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Rickey was preceded in death by his Father John B. Murch, Mother Goldie M. Murch, his brothers Johnny, Billie Joe, Jack, Donald, Wayne, his sister Deloris, and his daughter Carolyn Murch Jimenez.
If you had the privilege of knowing Rickey, you knew that family meant everything to him. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many. Rickey was a huge fan of Elvis, enjoyed all things science fiction, slot machine gambling, wood-working, was an expert X-Box Gamer of Tanks and Call of Duty, spent many days tending his lawn, and spent many hours reminiscing with his family about the good old times.
The family would like to thank everyone who was involved in caring for Rickey.
There will be a viewing from 4-7 pm on October 28, 2024, at the Peers Lorentzen Funeral Home, 132 W. Kern Ave., Tulare. RAIMUNDO DIOGO
February 16, 1953 – October 18, 2024. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raimundo Oliveira De Sousa Diogo, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who passed away peacefully on October 18, 2024. Raimundo was born on February 16, 1953, in Biscoitos, Azores, Portugal, and lived a full and meaningful life surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved son of the late Alzira Augusta Oliveira Diogo (March 1922 – August 2011) of Biscoitos, Azores, and Rodrigo De Sousa Diogo (January 1922 – May 2001) of Faial, Azores. Raimundo was predeceased by his brother, Manuel Oliveira Diogo (February 8, 1949 – May 1, 2024), of Biscoitos, Azores, and is survived by his sister, Emilia De Sousa Diogo residing in Tulare, CA.
Raimundo is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Lucia Diogo, residing in Tulare, CA. He leaves behind his three cherished daughters: Dora Rudick (husband Jay) of Pittsburgh, PA, and their children, Parker Rudick and Olin Rudick; Claudia Fritzler (husband Brett) of Tulare CA, and their children, Grayson Fritzler and Isabella Fritzler; and Katelin Diogo (fiancé Paul Stewart) of Tulare, CA.
At the age of 21, Raimundo was drafted into the Portuguese Army (Exército Português) and bravely served in Angola for 9 months. He was present in Lisbon on April 25th, Portugal’s Freedom Day, a historical moment in Portugal’s independence.
After his military service, Raimundo began his career at Hotel Angra before becoming a wine distributor for Soc. Comercial Carreiro, LDA and Emater in Angra do Heroismo, Terceira, Azores. In January of 1989, Raimundo emigrated with his wife, Lucia and their young daughters, Dora and Claudia to the San Joaquin Valley in Tulare, CA. In 1995, his third daughter Katelin was born. He embraced the local dairy industry, initially working for Joe Pires Dairy in Tipton, CA, followed by many years at Hoffman Dairy and concluding retirement from Hilarides Cattle Co.
Beyond his professional achievements, Raimundo’s greatest passion in life was his family. He cherished spending time with his wife, daughters, and grandchildren. A proud supporter of the Sporting soccer club in Portugal, Raimundo was also an active member of the Tulare Athletic Club for many years. When he wasn’t cheering for his favorite soccer team, you could find him enjoying quiet moments at home with loved ones.
A memorial service will be held at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Tulare, CA on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Raimundo’s honor to Clovis Medical Center in designation of “Cancer Care” (https://www.communitymedical.org/donate) where he was well treated with love and care by all the doctors, nurses, and staff.

Raimundo nasceu a 16 de Fevereiro de 1953, em Biscoitos, Açores, Portugal, e viveu uma vida plena e significativa rodeado pela sua amorosa família.
Era filho querido da falecida Alzira Augusta Oliveira Diogo (Março de 1922 – Agosto de 2011) dos Biscoitos, Açores, e de Rodrigo De Sousa Diogo (Janeiro de 1922 – Maio de 2001) do Faial, Açores. Raimundo foi precedido no falecimento pelo irmão, Manuel Oliveira Diogo (Fevereiro de 1949 – Maio de 2024), natural de Biscoitos, Açores, e deixa a irmã, Emília De Sousa Diogo de Tulare, CA.
Raimundo deixa a sua extremosa e dedicada esposa, Lucia Diogo, residente em Tulare, CA. Deixa para trás as suas três queridas filhas: Dora Rudick (marido Jay) de Pittsburgh, PA, e os seus filhos, Parker Rudick e Olin Rudick; Claudia Fritzler (marido Brett) de Tulare CA, e os seus filhos, Grayson Fritzler e Isabella Fritzler; e Katelin Diogo (noivo Paul Stewart) de Tulare, CA.
Aos 21 anos, Raimundo foi convocado para o Exército Português e serviu bravamente em Angola durante 9 meses. Esteve presente em Lisboa no dia 25 de Abril, Dia da Liberdade de Portugal, um momento histórico da independência de Portugal.
Após o serviço militar, Raimundo iniciou a sua carreira no Hotel Angra antes de se tornar distribuidor de vinhos do Soc. Comercial Carreiro, LDA e Emater em Angra do Heroísmo, Terceira, Açores. Em Janeiro de 1989, Raimundo emigrou com a sua esposa, Lúcia e as suas filhas Dora e Claudia, para San Joaquin Valley, em Tulare, CA. Em 1995 nasceu a sua terceira filha, Katelin. Abraçou a indústria local de laticínios, trabalhando inicialmente para a Joe Pires Dairy em Tipton, CA, depois na Hoffman Dairy e concluindo a sua reforma na Hilarides Cattle Co.
Para além das conquistas profissionais, a maior paixão da vida de Raimundo era a família. Adorava passar tempo com a sua esposa, filhas e netos. Orgulhoso adepto do clube de futebol Sporting em Portugal, Raimundo foi também membro ativo do Tulare Athletic Club durante muitos anos. Quando não estava a torcer pela sua equipa de futebol favorita, podia encontrá-lo a desfrutar de momentos tranquilos em casa com os seus entes queridos.
Será realizado um serviço memorial na Igreja Católica de Santa Rita em Tulare, CA na Sexta-Feira, 25 de Outubro de 2024, às 9h30.

GUILHERME A. SILVA
Guilherme August Silva, 76, passed away on October 5, 2024, in Tulare,
California. Born on December 28, 1947, in Feteira Terceira Azores, he was a
beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. His joy
came from spending countless hours with his friends at Tulare Angrense,
visiting the coast and spending time with his family.
Guilherme is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Maria Silva, and their
children Danny (Harmony) Silva, Marlene Lawrence, and Lisa (Eduardo)
Benavides. He was a proud grandfather to Trevor (Katherine), Sage, Sparrow
and Tallulah Silva, Jackson and Mallory Lawrence, Trinity and Jagger Silva,
Emily, Sierra, and Willow Benavides.
He is also survived by his cherished brothers Armando (Susan), Frank (Maria)
and Joe (Elsie) Silva, sisters Mary (Enos) Azevedo, and Nidia (Robert)
Franklin, along with brothers-in-law Joao (Elvira) Lopes and Jose Henrique
(Noelia) Lopes, and sisters-in-law Nellie Silva, Zelia and Ilda Lopes.
Guilherme is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guilherme and Maria Silva, his
brother Manuel Silva, and brothers-in-law Frank and Antonio Lopes.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, after a Rosary at 6:00
pm at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. A church service will take place at
10:00 am on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the same location. Interment
will follow at North Tulare Public Cemetery.

JOE RANEY
On September 25, 2024, Joe “Doc” Raney departed this life after almost 84 years to be with his Heavenly Father and his mom Blanche Raney, dad Roy Cecil Raney and twin brother Jerry Raney. He will be missed dearly.
Joe was born on September 27, 1940, in Alva, Oklahoma. When Joe and Jerry were six years old, their parents moved from Missouri to Tulare, CA. He graduated high school from Tulare Union High. After high school, Joe attended the College of the Sequoias where he obtained his AA degree in Fire Science. In 1961, Joe married the love of his life, Peggy Buckley. They had two sons, Mark Anthony Raney and Craig Allen Raney. In 1965, Joe went to work as a
firefighter for the Tulare City Fire Department where he served for 30 years. While serving as a firefighter, Joe returned to COS to teach Fire Science. After he retired, Joe worked in the
electronics department at the Tulare Wal-Mart for 13 years. Joe enjoyed serving his community and volunteered many hours out at the International Agri-Center. In 2008, he served as the chairmen of the Antique Show and then served as the Farm Show Chairmen in 2013.
Joe enjoyed watching the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Dodgers play. In his younger days, he loved to go fishing. He was known for his funny sense of humor and his story telling skills. Joe was a gentle soul who was loved by many. He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren along with many other loving family members.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 17 at 11:00am at Peers-Lorentzen Funeral Chapel followed by a burial at the North Tulare Public Cemetery.
