ALBERT “BETO” LEMUS JR.

Albert “Beto” Lemus Jr., 83, of Tulare, California, passed away on March 30, 2025. He was born on November 27, 1941, in Sacramento, California.

Albert lived a rich life, marked by hard work, humor, and deep devotion to his family, country, and community. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Klondike and remained actively involved with the ship’s reunion organization, traveling across the country to visit military sites and reconnect with fellow servicemen.

He was an active member of the Tulare community. Albert was the Post 56 Provost Marshal and Honor Guard Member, and he was preparing to be inducted as the chaplain for the Masonic Lodge. He also served as secretary on the board of the Aging Committee and at one time was a member of the Tulare County Grand Jury.

Bowling was one of Albert’s lifelong passions. He competed in leagues for decades and regularly traveled to Reno, Las Vegas, and the Central Coast for tournaments. In recognition of his dedication and skill, he was inducted as a lifetime member into the United States Bowling Congress Hall of Fame in 2023.

Albert was the heart and anchor of his family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. His sense of humor and love left a mark on all who knew him. His loss leaves a deep void in the lives of those who loved him.

He was preceded in death by both parents; his beloved wife, Carol Jean Lemus; and his children, Bonnie May Pantlik, Debra Louise Smith, Edward Albert Lemus, Christopher Martin Lemus; and his long time companion, Evelyn Mae McGregor.

He is survived by his daughter, Denise Sarina (Steve Sarina); his son, William Pantlik; three siblings; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and his best friend and loyal dog, Simone.

We invite you all to join us in honoring him at his funeral on April 18th. 2025
