TRISTAN MATEUS AVILA

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Tristan Mateus Avila on April 1, 2025. Tristan was born on July 22, 1997 to Manuel and Odete Avila in Tulare, CA.

Tristan brightened the lives of those around him with his infectious smile, his generosity, and his ability to make friends in every corner of life. He attended Sundale Elementary School and later graduated from Tulare Union High School. He also enjoyed playing baseball and soccer growing up. Following high school, Tristan pursued his interest in Diesel Mechanics at Reedley College. Ultimately, his true passion was in fabrication, and he channeled that enthusiasm into launching his own small business, Avila’s Metal Works. He enjoyed taking trips to the desert and Pismo Dunes to ride dirtbikes and quads, and loved wakeboarding on the lake. He was usually in his shop working on one thing or another, and was very meticulous with his work.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Abel Alves, grandparents Manuel and Ludevina Avila, aunt Manuela Avila, uncle Narciso Avila, great aunt Marcolina Lima, great uncle Joaquim Lourenco, great uncle Antonio Coelho, and several young friends.

He is survived by his parents, Manuel and Odete Avila; sister, Justine, and brother-in-law, Royce; godfather, Joe Martins and wife Dina; godmother, Ludevina Simon and husband Robert, cousin, Ashley Simon and her husband Kevin; uncle, Andre Alves and wife Gina; his beloved godson, Brady; his loyal dog, Diesel, and countless friends and family members. Tristan’s vibrant spirit will be deeply missed, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of the many family members and friends who loved him.
