GARY LEE FLETCHER
Gary was born on April 7, 1951, in Oklahoma. He passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in Tulare, California at the age of 74.

MARY DELL JONES
Mary Dell Jones was born in Idabel, Oklahoma to the union of Edgar Harris and Lillie Comfort. Mary was the oldest of 14 children growing up and often helping to raise six brothers and six sisters. In 1943, Mary moved to California where she attended Palo Verde School and later raised her family. In 1957 she married Ivory Monroe Porchia. To that union was born Brenda, Patricia, Steve, and Ira Junior.
In 1978, she was introduced to George Jones. After a brief courtship, they were married and placed their membership at the Blackstone Church of Christ. George and Mary remained married for 42 years until the passing of George in 2020. Their union resulted in the creation of a large extended family of nine siblings.
During her time on earth Mary worked at the Tulare District Hospital, Motel 6, The Dollar Store, as a foster parent and a homemaker. She will always be remembered for her leadership, toughness, high energy, willingness to help those in need, and her infectious smile.
Mary was proceeded in death by her parents Edgar Harris and Lillie Comfort, her husband George Jones, her daughters Brenda Barnette and Patricia Singleton, and a son Jack Pumphrey. Brothers Mackenzie Bailey, Alex Riley, Gary Riley, Gene Riley, Carmen Riley, and Ricky Riley. Sisters Michelle Riley, Doris Porchia, Martha Loring, Barbara Riley Donnell, Ruby Riley, and Lavette Riley.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory her sister Connie Riley, her children Steve Porchia, Ira Junior Porchia, Loretta Roberson, Mykisha Jones, George Jones, Anthony, Jones, Bernard Jones, her grandchildren she helped to raise as her own Derek Burrell, India Hope, Paul Holly, Brittany Holly Ruiz, and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Tulare Church of Christ located at 500 N. Blackstone Ave. Tulare, CA on Saturday, July 26, 2025, with a visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am following with a church service. Immediately following after a burial service will take place at the North Tulare Public Cemetery.

In Loving Memory Elizabeth C. Vasquez It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Vasquez, who departed this world on Saturday, July 12th, 2025,at the age of 83. She was surrounded by loved ones. Elizabeth’s journey through life was marked by unwavering dedication to family, friends, and community. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her as she leaves a legacy of kindness, wisdom, and inspiration. Elizabeth (Liz, Chavela) was born on May 23rd, 1942, in Tulare, CA to Vicente and Cipriana Vasquez. From an early age she displayed an inquisitive mind and a compassionate spirit that would come to define her as a person. After graduating Tulare Union High School, Liz began working at Lagomarsino Farming. She quickly established a reputation for diligence, determination, and integrity. Her career flourished as she worked her way up to a supervisory position where she earned the respect of all those whom she worked with. Colleagues remember Liz as a dedicated leader and a generous mentor, always willing to lend an ear or offer guidance to those in need. The most important thing in Liz’s life was an everlasting love for family. Although never having children of her own, she took on the role as a second mom and became a “Godmother” to every single one of her nieces and nephews. She was a source of unwavering support, safety, and guidance, nurturing her nieces and nephews with wisdom, patience, and boundless affection. She loved all of them as if they were her own. Elizabeth C. Vasquez is survived by her sisters Margret Casares, Lucy Zodrow (Ray), Gloria Davis (Steven), and Sandra Kral, who will always remember Liz’s warm hugs, sage advice, and infectious laughter. Liz also leaves behind a wide circle of extended family members and friends who treasured her dearly. Liz has reunited with her parents Vicente and Cipriana Vasquez, sister Roberta Jiminez, and brothers Peter Vasquez and Carlos Vasquez.

Guadalupe was born in Mexico on March 30, 1931. She passed on Monday, July 10, 2025, in Tulare, California, at the age of 94.

Birth: 12/9/29 – Sao Mateus, Terceira Acores. Passed on 7/1/2025, surrounded by his family in Tulare. Parents: Jose e Alzira Verissimo. Siblings: Maria, Jose, Mariazinha, Gloria, Fatima, Zelia, Lourdes
Early life: started working at a young age for a family friend’s farm, a Contractor on the island. Marriage: Maria Bernardete, 67 years. Children: Joe Verissimo, Elza Rebelo (Frank), Tony Verissimo (Helene), John Verissimo (Dora) Dolores (Maria) Rebelo, (Luis) Carlos Verissimo (Mendy). Immigration: 1974 with spouse Maria Bernadete and (6) children, Artesia settled in Tulare. US life: dairy worker, Gardner & last construction (concrete work, brick fences) was his passion of work. Man of his faith, church on Sundays was important to him
Hobbies – work was his hobby was never tired and never complained of too much work (construction) dairy not so much his favorite. Liked to help at the festa do Espirito Santo (his job was to cover the pans) and when done he was ready to go home and shower. Contributed his labor to some of the FPDT (Filarmonica Portuguesa de Tulare. Loved his family and enjoyed his grandchildren & great grandchildren visits (especially when taco bell) was brought for lunch.
